EASL CPGs Dissemination & Implementation Programme

EASL CPGs Dissemination & Implementation Programme

The EASL Guidelines Dissemination Programme is a new core component of EASL’s educational strategy designed to advance liver care through the adoption of Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs). Since 2009, EASL has published CPGs covering all major areas of hepatology. However, despite their quality and relevance, awareness and implementation in clinical practice remains limited due to various barriers.

To address this, the Dissemination Programme promotes awareness, understanding, and uptake of EASL CPGs through a diverse educational portfolio.

The EASL Guidelines Implementation Programme is a key component of the Dissemination Programme, which translates guidelines into practical tools for everyday clinical settings. Together, these initiatives ensure that the EASL CPGs are not only read but also applied, thus helping healthcare professionals deliver better liver care across Europe.

Discover more about the first edition of the EASL Guidelines Implementation Programme around the EASL–EASD–EASO Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) for managing metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD): EASL MASLD Guidelines Implementation Programme.

The EASL MASLD Guidelines Implementation Programme has been supported by Boehringer Ingelheim, Novo Nordisk and Madrigal. Boehringer Ingelheim, Novo Nordisk and Madrigal have had no input or influence into the content of this programme.
