GLAN brings together advocates, healthcare professionals, and organisation working to advance liver health education worldwide. In a cross-border collaboration, GLAN members are working towards the inclusion of liver health in primary and secondary schools worldwide.
Love Your Liver raises awareness of liver health and promotes early detection of liver disease through two community engagement initiatives – providing free liver tests to the public and matching hepatologists with local schools to provide classroom education to primary school students.
World Liver Day is celebrated each year on 19 April. The campaign promotes prevention of liver disease by providing the public with accessible, culturally appropriate, and relevant resources to support lifestyle behaviours that improve liver health and save lives.
