The Preventative Hepatology Course is an accredited educational course designed to support hepatologists and allied health professionals in becoming liver health advocates. The course provides an overview of the structural factors that contribute to liver disease and offers practical solutions to reduce its significant burden.
The EASL-Lancet Commission showed that almost 780 people die from liver disease every day in Europe. The burden of liver disease and the resulting strain on health systems increases every year. This report highlights the opportunity and necessity for all European countries to incorporate liver health into their NCD strategies.
