Looking for the next Nurse & AHP Rising Stars

The EASL Nurses & AHPs taskforce is delighted to announce a new initiative. We are looking for “Rising Stars” in our community of liver nurses and Allied Health Professionals. The taskforce recognises that there are many talented liver nurses and AHPs who contribute to delivering excellence in practice across a number of fields, such as service delivery, clinical excellence, leadership, audit, innovation, education and research.

Under the title “Rising Stars”, the taskforce is keen to provide a platform to showcase emerging liver nurses and AHPs whose focus is on putting people with, or at risk of, liver disease at the heart of their practice.

See here the professions (non-exhaustive list) that can be included under the AHP category.

We are calling out our liver community.

  • Are you that nurse or AHP?
  • Do you know a nurse or AHP in your team that has demonstrated excellence in practice?
  • Would you/they like the opportunity to present your/their work to a wider audience and to share your/their experiences?

We would like to hear from people who either wish to nominate a colleague or self-nominate. There are no age limits or geographic restrictions as we wish to showcase emerging talent.

So… If you or someone you know is having a positive impact on people with, or at risk of, liver disease then please get in touch!

Please outline your/their contribution in one of the following areas in no more than 500 words:

  • Service delivery
  • Clinical excellence
  • Leadership
  • Audit
  • Innovation
  • Education
  • Research
  • Other

Example of content for the letter could be:

  • What did the nominee do?
  • Why you think the nominee is a rising star?
  • How does the nominee contribute to patient management?

If you self-nominate then we will ask you to identify a colleague that can provide a supporting statement with regards to your work.

The chosen individuals will be invited to showcase their contribution to improving the care and management of people with, or at risk of, liver disease at ILC 2021.

Please send the nomination letter, including the full name, country of residence and email of the nominee to Patricia Pochelon (patricia.pochelon@easloffice.eu).

Send your nomination letter
