She obtained her PhD at Karolinska Institutet. Her postdoctoral work at Karolinska Institutet and Rockefeller University focused on developmental biology and methods development. The Andersson laboratory is a basic science/translational biology lab that aims to understand liver developmental biology, and harness developmental pathways for reparative medicine, for example in Alagille syndrome. Dr Andersson has been awarded several prestigious prizes and grants, including EASL’s first Daniel Alagille Award.
