Sarah Selemani is a Lead Nurse for Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) at a busy tertiary referral hospital in London. She is involved in all aspects of care for patients with HCC, providing support and counselling at diagnosis, coordinating pre and post treatment care, delivering holistic patient management and advocating for patients throughout their cancer journey. Leading a team of specialist nurses committed to delivering equitable, compassionate and supportive care across the treatment pathway.
Sarah holds an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and a BSc in Palliative Care Nursing and has also completed a pre-doctoral bridging programme. Her research interests include exploring patients lived experiences, addressing healthcare inequalities affecting underserved populations and promoting nursing development through nurse-led research in clinical practice.
As an aspiring clinical academic, Sarah is particularly interested in patient reported experiences and the qualitative exploration of frailty and its impact on individuals living with cancer and chronic disease. She is a passionate advocate for nursing workforce development, mentorship and professional support. Sarah also champions collaboration across nursing and allied health professional (AHP) communities to improve patient experience, clinical outcomes and staff development.
