The School is scheduled for 2022, following on the Baveno 7 consensus conference on portal hypertension, where new statements and related clinical practice guidelines were expected.

The School will focus on complications related to portal hypertension, which constitute most of the complex clinical problems in the management of patients with advanced liver disease. These include diuretic-refractory ascites, frequently recurrent hepatic encephalopathy, antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections, and the management of patients eligible for transplantation, but who fall outside the MELD criteria. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="10px"][easl_generic_button new_tab="true" color="orange" i_align="left" i_icon_fontawesome="far fa-hand-pointer" add_icon="true" title="Access the programme" url="https://easl.websitestage.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/EASL-Schools-2022-Management-of-cirrhosis-programme.pdf%22][vc_empty_space height="10px"][vc_custom_heading text="Learning objectives" font_container="tag:h2|font_size:28|text_align:left|color:%23826b6a" use_theme_fonts="yes"][vc_empty_space height="10px"][vc_column_text]
