Yun is a Consultant Pharmacist in Hepatology at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom. Her work focuses on developing and delivering innovative hepatology services, implementing new therapies, and improving patient outcomes through multidisciplinary collaboration at regional and national levels. She is committed to advancing hepatology pharmacy practice and currently serves as Acting Chair of the British Hepatology Pharmacy Group (BHPG), and as a committee member of the British Association for the Study of the Liver (BASL).
Alongside her clinical role, she is a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Doctoral Fellow based at the University of Southampton. Her doctoral research focuses on the development and validation of machine learning models for hepatocellular carcinoma risk prediction in patients with chronic viral hepatitis, aiming to improve risk stratification and support precision surveillance strategies. She works across multidisciplinary collaborations spanning hepatology, epidemiology, and data science to advance risk prediction and precision surveillance strategies. Prior to receiving her NIHR Doctoral Award, she was supported through competitive research career development programmes within the NIHR Southampton Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) Wessex.
