Marten Lantinga

the Netherlands

Marten Lantinga, MD, PhD, is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Amsterdam UMC in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and is currently in training for Clinical Pharmacologist. He earned his PhD in Medicine from Radboud University, Nijmegen, on 6 December 2016 with the thesis ‘Liver and Renal Cyst Infection.’ His current work focuses on advanced chronic liver disease, precision pharmacotherapy, and de-implementation of low-value care. His research aims to improve outcomes in patients with liver disease by optimizing drug use, better understanding altered pharmacokinetics, and reducing unnecessary treatment. He leads grant-funded clinical research and contributes to both national and European Hepatology initiatives.
