Bogdan Procopet

Bogdan Procopet is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy „Iuliu Hatieganu” and a senior consultant in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Regional Institute of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2013 in portal hypertension, and he was a previous fellow in hepatology at CHU Purpan, Toulouse, France, and at Hospital Clinic, Barcelona, Spain.

His main fields of interest are advanced liver diseases, portal hypertension, liver vascular diseases, non-invasive diagnosis of liver diseases, abdominal ultrasound, and interventional radiology dedicated to diagnosing and treating liver diseases and portal hypertension.

He is currently leading research projects in vascular and advanced liver diseases. Also, he is the coordinator of the Liver Research Club, a group that promotes liver-oriented scientific research among young researchers (research methodology, grant writing, and implementation).
